Growing Infants

Lay baby on his stomach on a blanket or clean floor. Put a few toys around him, some he can get easily and others he’ll need to move to reach. This will help in motor development.

Help babies get a sense of movement by gently swaying, swooping, and dancing while holding them. This also gives them time for interaction with you.

Do a safety check. Babies explore by putting things in their mouths. Look around for everything the baby can reach. Anything that can slide through a toilet paper tube can choke a baby. Make sure all of your safety measures are in place.
